Are You Concerned about A Person Vulnerable To Radicalisation?

Message sent on behalf of Northamptonshire Police Special Branch

During the COVID19 pandemic and the latest nationwide lockdown, members of the public are going to be inside their houses most of the time and as a result may be online more frequently, and subsequently more vulnerable to radicalisation and extremists. Youths in particular are often targeted by extremist groups so if you are concerned that someone close to you is expressing extreme views or hatred we the police can work with partner organisations to protect vulnerable people from being exploited by extremists through the home office programme called prevent.

Act early and tell us your concerns in confidence, you won't be wasting our time and you won't ruin lives but you might just save them.

Visit our website for useful advice and information and how to spot the signs that a loved one may be vulnerable to extremists
