These documents are a useful aid to Parish Councillors, new and old. It is intended that they are reviewed annually, as a reminder of best practice.
However, several of these Governance documents are only refreshed occasionally, as 'Model Orders' for local adaptation by the Council. Therefore the review may be a simple tille page date change, or Councillors may accept as read, that the current regulations stand as-is.
Parish Council Standing Orders

The Parish Council Standing Orders comprise instructions for the Parish Council to run its public meetings and finances in an orderly fashion.
Supplied as Model Orders from N-CALC, they are cut-down to remove non-applicable sections, then adjusted to account for local quorum and public time values.
Parish Council Codes of Conduct

The Codes of Conduct interpret the underpinning principles of Selflessness, Integrity, Objectivity, Accountability, Openness, Honesty and Leadership, as applicable to behavour among elected and co-opted members of the council.

The Risk Assessment considers matters such as assets and insurance, public liability and financial management.
Parish Council Financial Regulations

These determine how the Parish Council's Responsible Financial Officer (usually the Parish Clerk) should manage the public money held by the council. This also includes forward budgeting and auditing of the accounts on a regular basis.
